Hong Kong democracy activists are calling on the United States to make it easier for Hong Kongers fearing political persecution to move there.
A US senate committee is debating ways to support the Hong Kong democracy movement, following actions from the UK and Canada to offer a pathway to citizenship for Hong Kongers looking to leave the city.
