Vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are recommending health care workers and residents of long term care facilities as highest priorities for a coronavirus vaccine.
If the recommendations are approved by the director of the CDC they'll become official recommendations on immunization in the United States — guidance to state officials, trying to meet a Friday deadline for vaccine distribution planning.
