The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld sanctions imposed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Russia over doping. It reduced the term of the ban in half, but Russia will not have any formal presence at the next two Olympics or any other world championships in the next two years.
