UK government sources say the chances of a Brexit deal have 'receded' after the EU toughened its position on enforcing common rules and regulations.
EU sources say there's been no change in position.
Both sides acknowledge time is running out to reach agreement in time for it to be in place when current trading arrangements expire on 31st December.
