Russia's lower house is proposing legislation that would extend judicial immunity to ex-presidents.
The law would make it harder for an ex-president to be tried for crimes committed during their term in office, once no longer president.
Press secretary to the President, Dmitry Peskov, says "this is a practice that takes place in many countries around the world, and is quite justified."
