Polls have started to open in the United States - nearly one hundred million Americans have already cast their votes, more than two thirds the total ballots counted in 2016.
Both candidates criss-crossed the country in the final days of campaigning. Election Day sees President Donald Trump at the White House, while his Democratic challenger is spending the day in Pennsylvania, where the president is threatening legal action.
