Hong Kong Police launch public hotline for reporting security law breaches

Police in Hong Kong have launched a controversial new hotline for the public to report potential breaches of the city's National Security Law.

Supporters of the move say it will act as a deterrent for anti-government protest activities. 

But democracy campaigners say it will spread distrust and cause social division.
