Ambassadors for the European Union have been told there is still a good chance of a Brexit trade agreement, subject to political will on both sides.
High-level negotiations between the UK and EU are now taking place via video link after one of the EU's team tested positive for coronavirus.
Just six weeks remain until the end of the transition period.
