WMO call for early disaster warning systems that translate into early action

With extreme weather events becoming more frequent and severe, climate experts say it is time to switch forecasting strategies from "what the weather will BE" to "what the weather WILL DO". 


The call for governments to pursue what's called "impact-based forecasting" comes from a new UN report making the case for early warning systems that compel early action.
