UK GOVERNMENT ACCUSED OF "DISREGARDING" PARLIAMENT OVER CORONAVIRUS LAWS

The UK government has been accused of "disregarding" lawmakers over its handling of coronavirus measures by Britain's Speaker of parliament. 


Sir Lindsay Hoyle said Boris Johnson's ruling Conservative party had treated MPs with "contempt" by pushing through new powers without debate. 


But he also prevented an opportunity for a rebellion.
