Taiwan says two Chinese anti-submarine aircraft flew into its air defence identification zone on Wednesday, and had to be warned to leave by the island's air force.
It came on the same day the US announced it would send a state department official to attend the funeral of Taiwan's former president, Lee Teng-hui.
