The U.S. is closing in on six million coronavirus cases, as the global tally passes 25 million.
States including Iowa, Minnesota, North and South Dakota have reported daily records. More than 183,000 people have died from the virus- according to Johns Hopkins University.
In New York, which is pressing ahead with the reopening of schools on September 10th, teachers’ unions are speaking out over health and safety fears.
And Governor Andrew Cuomo has also expressed caution:
