Microsoft helps power the Nasdaq to a record close

Big gains for tech giants Apple and Microsoft helped the Nasdaq close
the day at an all-time high.

Microsoft closed the day up more than five percent after announcing
plans to proceed with the purchase of TikTok's U.S. operations.
