The White House is looking to discredit Dr Anthony Fauci, one of the government's top infectious diseases experts, for speaking out about the US's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.
Officials gave news organisations a list of statements Dr Fauci had made about the outbreak which they said were ultimately inaccurate.
