The UK will strip its 5G network of Huawei technology by 2027, in a U-turn expected to cost up to
two-and-a-half billion dollars.
The decision was made by the National Security Council, chaired by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
It's concerned that US sanctions on Huawei will jeopardise the ability of the UK to keep its telecoms network safe.
