German Chancellor Angela Merkel heads to Brussels in her first trip outside of Germany since the pandemic, and for the first time leading the EU Council Presidency. Merkel is due to present her plans to EU lawmakers on Brexit, the EU budget, and her strategy to tackle the covid-19 crisis. Mia Alberti reports from Frankfurt.
