UK Central Bank and Church of England apologise for slavery links

The Church of England and the UK's central bank have apologised for their links to the slave trade.

Nearly a hundred clergymen from the Church were found to be involved, as well as previous governors and directors from the Bank of England.

It comes after a renewed focus on racism and slavery after the death of George Floyd in the US.
