Merkel ally calls Trump troop withdrawal plan 'unacceptable'

A high-ranking German official called US president Donald Trump's reported plan to withdraw thousands of US troops from the country 'unacceptable'.

Trump has repeatedly clashed with Germany over defense spending and many other issues.
