MAYOR OF BRISTOL "NO SENSE OF LOSS" OVER FELLED STATUE

The mayor of Bristol, England, says he feels no "sense of loss" after a statue of a slave trader was torn down and dropped in the harbour during an anti-racism protest on Sunday.

The statue depicted Edward Colston, a 17th century trader who made a large proportion of his fortune transporting slaves from Africa to the Americas.

Stuart Smith has more from London.
