FACE COVERINGS TO BE MANDATORY FOR ENGLISH PASSENGERS

The UK transport secretary, Grant Shapps, says that from two weeks' time people in England will be required to wear face coverings whenever on public transport.

There will be exemptions for those with breathing difficulties, but otherwise passengers must use them or risk being fined.
