Chinese and EU leaders are holding video summit on Monday amid rising tensions over Beijing's actions in Hong Kong and new tariffs on Chinese firms.
The heads of the EU's institutions will also discuss the COVID-19 crisis, in the first formal talks since the EU accused China of a campaign of disinformation around the pandemic.
