UK WORKS UP LOCKDOWN-EASING PROPOSALS

The UK government is in discussions with unions and business groups about ways to ease lockdown restrictions and reopen the country's economy.

Measures being considered include encouraging fewer meetings, moving desks apart, stopping hot-desking, and staggering working hours.

The UK's current coronavirus lockdown runs until Thursday, and it's expected Prime Minister Boris Johnson will set out details of the next phase of restrictions on Sunday.

Conservative MP Andrew Griffith says time is of the essence.
