The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, has made an urgent appeal for the National Guard to intervene, following a second night of protests over the police killing of unarmed African-American George Floyd. He has also called for the officer involved in his killing to be charged.
Meanwhile, the US Justice Department says the federal investigation into his death in Minneapolis is a top priority.
