Germany's highest court has ruled that the carmaker owes money to people who bought cars with rigged emission systems and want to give them back.
It's the latest setback for the company from its 2015 dieselgate scandal, when it emerged that it had manipulated some of its diesel engines in order to skirt environmental regulations.
