Half of Europe's COVID-19 deaths have occurred in care homes

Data collected from five European countries suggests over half of deaths from COVID-19 have occurred in care homes. 

Research by a team led by the London School of Economics suggests 9,500 care home residents died from coronavirus in Italy alone.
