UK GOVT PLEDGES FOOD SUPPLIES WON'T RUN LOW AMID COVID-19

The UK government says it is working with supermarkets to keep food supplies going, if more people have to self-isolate with coronavirus.

It comes after a woman becomes the first person in the UK diagnosed with Covid-19 to die.

She was in her 70s and had underlying health conditions.

UK officials are considering further measures to try and limit the spread of the virus.

The UK's chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance says school closures are not imminent.
