UK TERROR PLANS TO FACE LEGAL CHALLENGE

UK government plans to make terrorism offenders stay in prison for longer - are likely to face a legal challenge.

The proposed emergency legislation comes after an attack in London at the weekend by a man who'd just been released early from prison after being convicted of terrorism offences.

It would seek to end the automatic release of offenders at the halfway point of their sentences.

But Human rights barrister Adam Wagner says the proposals will be difficult to get through.
