Low-skilled workers will not receive visas under post-Brexit immigration plans unveiled by the UK government.
Employers are being urged to "move away" from relying on "cheap labour" from the European Union and instead invest in retaining staff or developing automation technology.
But the UK's opposition parties say the new rules would create a "hostile environment" that makes it hard to attract workers.
