Former British Prime Minister Sir John Major is urging people to re-elect now independent MPs who were expelled from the Conservatives, rather than voting for the party he led for seven years.
Sir John, who was Conservative Prime Minister between 1990 and 1997, is a long-standing critic of the government's Brexit plans.
