FCC votes to bar Huawei and ZTE from subsidy program over national security risks

The US Federal Communications Commission voted Friday to designate Chinese tech giants Huawei and ZTE as national security threats. 


The move effectively bars both firms from a multibilion-dollar government subsidy program.
