36 million people in India at risk from coastal flooding, study says

A new study reveals that 36 million people in India could be affected by annual coastal flooding by 2050 if global carbon emissions are not reduced significantly.

The findings come after hundreds of people were killed this year in India due to flood and rain related incidents during the four-month monsoon season.
