Xenophobia: South Africa shuts embassy in Nigeria for fears of reprisal attacks

The South African Embassy in Nigeria have been temporarily closed to avoid retaliatory attacks. 

Both countries step up security as sporadic attacks on foreign-owned businesses in Johannesburg sparked reprisals against South African firms in some of Nigerian cities.
