JOHNSON AND JUNCKER MEET FOR BREXIT TALKS

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is holding his first face-to-face Brexit talks (on Monday) with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Luxembourg.

The UK government insists progress is being made towards a deal and that it won't extend Brexit beyond October 31st.

But EU negotiators say they've not yet seen detailed proposals from the UK on how to avoid a hard Irish border.

James Randerson from Politico Europe in Brussels says it's starting to become clearer what the UK might be seeking.
