Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet US President Donald Trump at the sidelines of the G7 summit in France, their second meeting this year. It comes in the backdrop of Donald Trump offering to mediate between India and Pakistan on the issue Kashmir- the second time the US President has volunteered to intervene.
India's position has been that it is not open to third-party mediation on Kashmir. Both New Delhi and Islamabad stake claim to the disputed Kashmir region in full but govern only parts of it.
