BORIS JOHNSON HOLDS FIRST CABINET

Boris Johnson is into his first full day in office as UK Prime Minister.

His new cabinet has been meeting for the first time, after a raft of senior ministers were culled.

Mr Johnson is promising to deliver Brexit on 31st October and believes he can strike an improved deal with the EU.

But he has a wafer-thin majority in the House of Commons, leading to speculation he's preparing for a general election within months.

Remain-backing Conservative MP Dr Phillip Lee says the question is how he and his colleagues respond to the new administration.

IN: "I thought…
OUT: ...reaction."
