US birth rate dropped to lowest rate in 32 years

The number of babies being born in the United States has dropped to its lowest rate in 32 years, according to provisional data released by the National Center for Health Statistics.

About 3.79 million babies were born in the US in 2018. That's a 2 percent drop from the previous year and the fourth consecutive annual decline.
