British Prime Minister Theresa May is trying to woo opposition Labour MPs with promises of investment in their communities in a bid to gain support for her Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.
It comes as her government continues to grapple with a way forward after she promised to work to change the controversial Northern Ireland backstop, a proposal which EU leaders say is not possible. From London, Catherine Drew reports.
