TERROR SUSPECT DETAINED UNDER MENTAL HEALTH LAWS

A man arrested over a knife attack in Manchester which is being treated as a terrorist incident - has also been detained under mental health laws.

The 25 year-old is suspected of attempted murder, after three people were stabbed at Manchester's Victoria railway station on New Year's Eve.

Three victims were left with serious injuries after what police say was a 'frenzied' attack.

Sir Richard Leese is leader of Manchester City Council.
