MAY SEEKING BREXIT TALKS AFTER KEY VOTES

UK Prime Minister Theresa May is to hold talks with EU leaders - despite member states insisting they won't re-open Brexit negotiations.

On Tuesday, British MPs voted in favour of changing the controversial Irish border backstop contained in the Brexit deal with Brussels.

And Mrs May says she now has a 'mandate' for new negotiations.

Britain's due to leave the EU on March 29th - with no exit deal currently in place.

Brexit co-ordinator for the European Parliament Guy Verhofstadt says the backstop can't be redrawn.
