Trump backs down on border wall funding, likely avoiding gov’t shutdown

President Trump is backing down from his pledge that he would shut down the federal government if Congress didn't approve five billion dollars to fund a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump's concession is seen as a major win for Democrats in Congress, as they prepare to take control of the House of Representatives in January.
