U.S. Vice President Mike Pence says the United States seeks
collaboration, not control in the Indo-Pacific region.
In an op-ed published in the Washington Post, Pence said that the U.S.
would however be providing allies in the region with new assistance to
help protect their borders.
The comments come ahead of the Vice President's week-long tour of Asia.
