MAY STANDS FIRM ON BREXIT

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has received the backing of several key Brexiteer ministers in her cabinet.

It comes as she begins a PR blitz to sell her Brexit deal to the British public.

However, Mrs May could also face a confidence vote in the coming days over the issue, if enough Conservative MPs submit letters calling for a change in leadership.

She insists the draft Brexit deal is right for the country - and has used a national radio phone-in to say she thinks she can get MPs to back it in a parliamentary vote.

UK correspondent Olly Barratt says Downing Street is preparing for a confidence vote.
