El Chapo trial starts amid tight security & secrecy

The trial of Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman has begun in New York.

He's accused of smuggling more than 200 tonnes of cocaine into the
U.S. and ordering the murder of dozens of rivals over several decades
in charge of the Sinaola cartel.

Jury selection has started, with opening statements expected next week.

Nick Harper in New York says authorities are going to extraordinary
lengths to keep witnesses and the jury safe.
