VIETNAM: UK CAN JOIN TPP

Vietnam says the UK would be welcome in the Trans-Pacific Partnership after Brexit.

It follows similar comments from Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who said earlier this week the UK would be welcomed with 'open arms' into the trade deal.

The TPP is a trade deal between 11 countries including Japan, Australia, Malaysia and Canada - US President Donald Trump pulled America out of the arrangement.

But Vietnam's Deputy Trade Minister Hoang Quoc Vuong, on a visit to London, says Britain could be a member.
