UK 'PREPARES RETALIATION' AGAINST RUSSIA

The UK is reportedly preparing covert responses against Moscow and its military intelligence network, over the nerve agent attack in Salisbury.

It follows the identification of two men from Russia's military intelligence service the GRU as suspects in the attempted murder in March of a former Russian spy and his daughter.

Downing Street is said to be considering cyber disruption as well as possible new sanctions and diplomatic retaliation against Moscow.

And it will raise the matter at a UN Security Council meeting later.

The UK's Solicitor General Robert Buckland says the identification of suspects is an important moment.
