Moon, Kim begin third summit in Pyongyang

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is visiting Pyongyang for his third summit this year with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. He hopes to improve inter-Korean ties and convince North Korea and the U.S. to resume stalled talks over dismantling Kim's nuclear weapons program.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in was met by great fanfare in Pyongyang.

North Koreans lining streets chanted "unified Korea" as Moon paraded downtown with Kim.

They held their first meeting of the summit Tuesday afternoon. Moon's office said the focus was denuclearization.

It's unclear what Moon may offer Kim to resume nuclear talks with the U.S.

Kim says he wants more concessions from the U.S. first, including a peace treaty.

But Washington wants more proof North Korea will really give up its weapons.

Moon took a large delation of South Korean business leaders to Pyongyang, a sign he may be willing to expand economic exchanges if the conditions are right.
