Hurricane Florence claims 4 lives as "violent grind" continues

At least four people are dead after Hurricane Florence slammed ashore in North Carolina.


A mother and child were killed when a tree fell on their house in the city of Wilmington, and two other people died elsewhere in the state.


Our Washington Correspondent Simon Marks reports that the storm is moving so slowly, it could pose a threat to life for days to come.
