Ceremonies held to mark anniversary of 9/11

Thousands of people have gathered in lower Manhattan to honour those
that died in the 9/11 terrorist attack 17 years ago.

Nearly 3,000 people died in what is the deadliest foreign attack to
have occurred on U.S. soil.
