China protests US solar tariffs at the WTO

China has lodged a complaint with the World Trade Organization over US tariffs on imported solar panels.

Washington has accused Beijing of dumping cheap panels on the market, and imposed steep tariffs in January.

China's action at the WTO comes amid trade tensions that have escalated under the Trump administration.
