UN rights agency urge US to release migrant children, consider alternatives to detention

United Nations human rights experts have called on the U.S. government to release migrant children from detention, saying the use of children to deter irregular migration is "unacceptable."


The UN human rights agency is also urging the US to overhaul its migration policy, and consider alternatives to detention for migrant children and their families.
